Ecosystem Exposure

Executive protection programs are built around the principal. Threat actors take the easiest route to them. 360 Privacy extends protection across the full ecosystem.

Principal heatmap: incident analysis for nine principals across address, age, date of birth, email, and name. Color intensity shows exposure level for each data type.

The Problem

The Accessible Path

Protective programs are built around the principal, but targeting starts wherever access is easiest. When the principal is well defended, the accessible route runs through a spouse, a child, an assistant, or an estate manager, each of whom shares an address, a surname, or a routine with the person at the center, and holds access the principal relies on. Being findable is what makes someone targetable, and the people closest to a principal are usually the most findable and the least protected. Reducing the principal’s exposure while leaving theirs in place keeps the route open.

Who the Ecosystem Includes

Spouse or Partner

Shared addresses, accounts, and property records mean a partner’s exposure is frequently the same exposure held under a different name.

Children & Dependents

Minors and young adults appear in school directories, team rosters, and family-linked broker profiles, most of which were built without an opt-out.

Adult Children

A first lease, a first vehicle registration, and a first job each create a new searchable identity that links back to the family.

Parents & Extended Family

Relatives who share a surname or a former address remain searchable paths even when they live elsewhere.

Assistants & Chiefs of Staff

The people holding schedules, travel details, and access carry information the principal never published.

Household & Estate Staff

Property managers, drivers, and residential staff appear in records tied to the same address and the same routine.

Business Partners & Co-Founders

Corporate filings name officers together, and those filings frequently carry a home address.

Former Household Members

Prior addresses and past associations continue to connect people who no longer share a residence.

Why It Matters

How the Path is Built

Finding an executive’s family doesn’t take special tools or insider access. Most of what an attacker needs is already public, spread across press bios, school pages, and personal social accounts. A few searches are enough to piece it together, and each one builds on the last.

A name. A basic web search for the executive’s name and “spouse” or “family” turns up a bio or press mention that names them.

An address. One more search on that name returns a home address in seconds.

A routine. A school’s board or donor page shows where the children are enrolled. Team rosters and schedules show where they will be, and when.

An opening. A family member’s vacation post shows the house is empty.

Extending Protection Beyond the Principal

Scoping the Set

Your Account Manager, along with our Security Operations Center (SOC) works out who belongs in the program based on what each person shares with the principal, including an address, a surname, a property record, or access to a schedule.

Individual Enrollment

Each person is enrolled with their own profile. Enrollment requires a limited number of readily discoverable data points and no sensitive records, financial documents, or power of attorney.

Removal & Suppression

Every source holding information on each person is identified and actioned at the source. Entries naming several people are actioned once, and entries specific to one person are pursued individually.

Handled by Situation

A child, an adult relative with their own accounts, and a staff member each involve different sources and different approaches. Each is worked accordingly rather than run through a single template.

Ongoing Coverage

Scanning and suppression continue daily across everyone enrolled, with exposure visible across the program and individual detail available where it is needed.
