Data Removal & Suppression

Continuous removal of personal information from data brokers, people search sites, and search engine results, with daily re-suppression as records reappear.

Incident Explorer: a bar chart of incident volume over the last five years, above a table of incidents listing source, status, exposure level, and actions. Jun 23, 2021 Sep 21, 2023 Apr 7, 2025 Oct 24, 2025 Apr 1, 2026

The Bottom Line

Continuous Removal and Suppression

Data Removal & Suppression locates personal information across data brokers, people search sites, and aggregators, verifies each record against the individual, and submits suppression requests to the brokers that originate it. Search engine results pointing to those records are de-indexed at the same time. Every source is scanned daily, any record that reappears is removed again, and each action is recorded in the 360 Strata™ platform.

Data Removal & Suppression: At a Glance

Upstream Suppression

Requests are directed to the brokers that supply downstream people search sites, as well as to the sites themselves.

Search Engine De-Indexing

Search results linking to exposed records are de-indexed while removal at the source is in progress.

Daily Removals

Every source is rescanned daily, and records that reappear are removed immediately.

Analyst Verification

Each finding is verified before it is logged to ensure accuracy.

The Removal Process

Enrollment & Enrichment

The details submitted at enrollment are expanded into a complete profile of the individual, including the name variations, prior addresses, and contact details needed to identify their records accurately.

Discovery

Data brokers, people search sites, aggregators, and search engines are scanned for records that correspond to the profile.

Verification

Each potential match is checked against the profile, and records that meet a statistical confidence threshold are confirmed by an analyst before any request is submitted.

Removed

Requests are manually submitted to the originating broker and to each site displaying the record, following the process each source requires.

De-Indexing

Within 24 hours of enrollment being confirmed, automation identifies live search results that display the individual’s personal information in the result description or link directly to one of their records, and requests are submitted to remove those results while source removals are underway.

After a source has removed a record, search engines can continue to display the page or a cached copy for an extended period, and a second set of de-indexing requests is submitted to remove those lingering results.

Re-Suppression

Sources are rescanned daily against the profile, reappearing records are suppressed again, and each action is logged in the 360 Strata™ platform.

Data brokers refresh their datasets from upstream sources and create new records from property purchases, filings, and other activity, such as DMV records, voter registrations, and political donations. Daily rescanning identifies these records as they return.

360 Privacy ensures a reduction in your exposure within 14 days. Each request and its status are visible in the 360 Strata™ platform from the time it is submitted.
